Radical Perspectives on Sexuality

  • Paula (and possibly others) wants to know if she is taking over Radical Perspectives on Sexuality (Ruta, Louise Simposn) from Rob
    • Reading news articles
    • Radical, feminist perspecitves
    • Readings have different liberal perspectives
    • Flexible enrollment

  • Someone suggested that U of T / OPIRG might have space.
  • Discussion of possible places / group sizes
  • Agree it is a good idea
  • Recommend suggested cap that is slightly larger than what is
  • ideal (about 25/30 people).

Beats for Beginners

OPIRG

  • OPIRG is having an Alternative Frosh/radical frosh.
    • Does AnarchistU? want to do something there (even just have fall schedule pamphlets)?
    • Jasleen (of OPIRG) would like a copy of the AnarchistU schedule (opirg.sa.utoronto.ca)
  • OPIRG can book rooms, sometimes with as little as one day's notice.
  • OPIRG has workshops such as consensus building

Promotion & Picnic

  • AnarchistU Orientation Picnic
    • Picnic Sept 12 3:00-6:00 at Trinity Belwoods Park
    • last year the permit was completely unnecessary.
    • Alan will donate 50 veggie dogs
    • We got at least $50 from the retreat

  • Flyers would probably cost about $30. Paula could photocopy about 100 sheets (equals 400 flyers) for free
  • Catherine will contact Eye Magazine and Ryerson regarding picnic
