Ontario Maps Of Anger

Creating a FRONT PAGE for Animal Rights & Human Rights (TenantRights)

_Our webpage display of democratic deficits in Ontario inspires uprisings from the illegal ashes of corporatism_
Map of Ontario templates will be provided for Green Anarchy, Ontario Common Front (OCAP) & relevant multi-town progressive groups.

John needs a volunteer to search the Internet and help find the code for a map of the Province of Ontario, which can then be copied from an existing website. The Ontario map can be pasted here temporarily on this page to display Ontario, and must be large enough to accommodate a viewer's pointer when held over most of the small town between Windsor and Cornwall. Hovering the pointer will display a gif, or maybe a dynamic (java) mushroom cloud cartoon for any town in Ontario planning an action, and a gif, or maybe dynamic (java) firecracker for towns which have had a recent relevant action.

It is enlightning and useful for a viewer to have this map. It is not fair that one town presently cannot read about the very same unruly frustrations of the powerless in the next town a few miles down the road, and individuals in each town can link up faster when they see their geographical proximity on the map. The large number of actions on the map at a glance will surprise and encourage beginners.
NGOs who do not appear on a master map may feel snubbed and some may ask for a link, and I can point out that links are only for unpaid progressive not-for-profit groups that use tried and true tactics. This may encourage other groups to raise the tactics bar.

Clicking on a town will display a scroll of options, usually a number of URLs, each with a text box and fields for images (pictures) which can jump to alternative Ontario map duplicates. These other Ontario maps might display each town's main contact(s), main issue(s), etc. A map can replace most of the links on the left margin of the front page.
I really don't think that it can be fully described at this early stage because I think that inventing this stuff is the result of cumulative tweaks as it is being used.
I will start as soon as I can get interested collaborators. There is a fair chance that most of the components or modules of the map already exist, and the code of that website can be borrowed if I knew how to do it; but, sofar I've had no success with my choice of google words when I tried to google for examples of the map idea being used at any other geographical locations.

One percent of the work is the building of the map template. Ninety nine percent will be the everchanging content. The inaugural content especially news can be a problem for uncommunicative towns. Local content can be a problem because for example - Kingston's OCAP at this time does not have a website. (Growth of local movements seldom succeeds without a committed structure of volunteers in all towns for the labour intensive leafleting and postering.)

SEEKING VOLUNTEERS - building free tools to restore power for the dispossesed:
If I were to give you $100.00, how much of the project could you complete? Do I underestimate the amount of time required to complete the product? What other bells and whistles can you suggest? If you think that the product would make an excellant front page, you may wisely think that it is better to accept the sharing of the final product as payment, with the understanding that we both never sell or share the product? One must remember that I'm part of thousands who always work pro bono. I've never accepted payment, yet realize that others like myself (a horrific example: http://test.anarchistu.org/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=83) whose income is below the poverty level are simply unable to contribute because they're stuck without financial resources.
