In Attendance: Nick, Michael, Maggie, Angel

Agenda:

• Bank Update
• Angel's Architecture and Urban Planning class

Bank Update:

• Possum and Maggie have changed the bank-account type, which supposedly contains somewhere around $700. Originally, since AnarchistU is not a registered NGO, we were not able to get an NGO account, and thus Alterna recommmended and signed us up to a business account instead. However, the business account has steep fees, including a monthly $5 just for having the account. John Gilbert recommended switching to an "association" account instead, which has somewhat lower fees: a $4 monthly charge, and some of the other fees waved. Possum and Maggie are co-signatories on the account.

519 General Meeting Room Bookings:

• Nick expressed some concern about the state of room bookings and suggested contacting the person at the 519 who is the person to contact about possibly booking the 3rd Sunday of the month for a longer period of time than on a per month basis if possible. After the meeting Maggie and Nick seemed to have obtained the name of such contact.

Angel's Architecture and Urban Planning class

• Angel reported that he found that he was just not going to be able to find enough time to facilitate his proposed Manifestoes of Architecture and Urban planning class this semester.

Telephone Hotline Update:

• Michael reported that he had investigated possibilities for a telephone hotline for AFU info and Calender events, and is most excited about a solution offered by the Queen West Health Center at a cost of $10/3 months. The group seemed supportive but Angel raised concerns about spending the money on a hotline that may not be used that much at this point in time. Nick mentioned the possibility the citywide MURMUR system being approached for use and something about "soundbyte", "green", and emailing Rob was mentioned.

Stone Soup:

• Maggie mentioned that Possum was having email problems but told her he would be emailing everybody about re-starting a stone soup potluck soon.
