January Courses

MOST COURSES WILL START THE WEEK OF 17 JANUARY

SPRING READING BREAK IS WEEK OF 21 FEBRUARY

We like the idea of an Introduction to Anarchism suggested by Todd. Possum will ask him about ideas for speakers and we will try to put together a course for next meeting. The course will need or two people to be present every week.

Lee discussed a course on gender and power and will present an outline next meeting

Jazsef discussed a course on "frontiers of knowledge" similar to his previous course but focusing on new ideas about knowledge. He has four guests lined up. Would start on Thursday 27 January. He'll have an outline for next meeting.

Erik discussed a course which would be a political look at the Internet, its origins, free software, porn, internet governance and other topics. Detailed outline next meeting.

Darren explained that he has a background in college radio and proposes a course which is an introduction to electronics. It involves math and would be textbook based. Hands on work is possible. He'll do an outline for next meeting.

Jeffrey presented a written proposal on Anarchism and Urban Planning with a list of discussion topics. He'll do a more detailed outline for next meeting.
